From the moment you arrive at Highland Ridge Farm, a sense of calm settles in. The long, winding drive invites you to slow down, take in the mountain views, and watch for wildlife. You might see deer moving quietly through the trees, wild turkeys crossing the fields, a bald eagle overhead, and, if you’re lucky, the occasional black bear.
Your first glimpse of the property is The Cottage, perched on a knoll with wraparound decks overlooking open fields, wooded hillsides, and the river below. Continuing along, the drive winds through park-like woodlands and lush green pastures and fields, where you might spot our bold red South Poll cattle grazing peacefully.
Passing smaller barns, you might be greeted by Paisley, our miniature Hereford, our gentle Great Pyrenees dogs Koda and Luna, or one of our rescued Boer goats. Bradford pear trees line the drive leading to the Highland Barn. No matter the season, it the property provides a breathtaking first impression. Every moment here feels both peaceful and unforgettable, surrounded by the beauty and history of the land.
Our Resident Sweetheart. Paisley isn’t just part of the landscape—she’s part of the Highland Ridge story. With her fluffy fringe, gentle nature, and unmistakable charm, this miniature hereford cow has quickly become a guest favorite and an unofficial mascot of the farm.
Paisley
Koda + Luna
Peanut, Maverick, + Phoenix
Our gentle Great Pyrenees duo and the farm’s loyal guardians. They spend their days patrolling the pastures, keeping our animals safe, and happily accepting head pats from guests. Equal parts fluffy and friendly, they’re as much a part of Highland Ridge as the mountain views.
Our rescued Boer goats, each with their own big personality. Playful, curious, and just a little mischievous, they’re always ready to greet visitors at the fence (usually with the hope that you’ve brought a snack or two).
